French Riviera on the map

The French Riviera is located in southeastern France along the Mediterranean coast, near the border with Italy. The area extends roughly from the area around Toulon and Saint-Tropez eastward towards Nice, Menton and Monaco, although the boundaries may vary.

The most well-known destinations are located relatively close to each other along the coast. Nice often serves as a natural starting point for trips in the area, with good opportunities for excursions to Cannes, Antibes, Juan-les-Pins, Monaco, Monte Carlo and the beautiful villages inland.
